The first international all-pyrography exhibit is taking place now at the Andrews Art Museum in Andrews, N.C. Called "20th Century Pyrographers," the exhibit began in early June and continues through August 27, 2011.

Danette Smith is a pyrographer and one of the artists featured in the exhibit. She has also been helping to promote the event. "This has been long overdue and I’m thrilled to have been part of making history with this art form," she says.

Among the other artists whose work is included are Jessie O'Brien, Chip Jones, and Peter Drewett, all of whom won exhibition awards. See all of the artists and samples of their work at a dedicated web page Danette made to promote the show: http://dangeespyrography.com/20thCenturyPyrographers.aspx

Another of the exhibiting artists, Tom Vogler, created a video to showcase the artwork in the exhibit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FN9GXaEIPFE
